Sizing & Fit
How do I determine my size?
How do I determine my size?
Unlike traditional brands that force you into a standard size, Silque specializes in made-to-measure gowns. We strongly recommend using our How-to-Measure Guide to take your measurements at home (or with a local tailor). We use your specific body measurements (Bust, Waist, Hips, Hollow-to-Hem, etc.) to draft a pattern just for you.
What if I lose or gain weight before the wedding?
What if I lose or gain weight before the wedding?
We recommend submitting your measurements closer to your wedding date. Most of our gowns are designed with construction methods (like lace-up corsets or strategic seam allowances) that allow for a flexible fit of +/- 1 to 2 inches.
Will my dress fit perfectly straight out of the box?
Will my dress fit perfectly straight out of the box?
Our goal is a perfect fit, and most brides find their gowns fit beautifully upon arrival. However, bridal sizing is an art. Minor adjustments (such as tightening a strap, taking in the waist slightly, or hemming) are very common to achieve that flawless "glove-like" look. We recommend budgeting a small amount for final alterations with a local seamstress.
